Meet Guadalupe Intriago, a third-generation chocolate farmer in Ecuador.
Heifer helped Intriago and other chocolate farmers in her community form a micro-lending group in order to grow their farms and businesses. Small business loans are extremely difficult to obtain in Ecuador and the interest rate can be as high as 15%. In contrast, loans obtained through the micro-lending association are paid back with an interest rate of 2%.
Join Intriago in Ecudador in this 360°/VR video as she harvests cacao, attends a training session with fellow farmers and prepares cacao seeds for transformation into delicious chocolate.
