Support Arkansas Farmers By Enjoying Good, Healthy Food

If you’re in Arkansas and want to enjoy some of the best fresh produce around, now is the time to sign up for New South Produce Cooperative’s CSA!

New South is a cooperative of small-scale produce farmers Heifer USA helped establish in 2014. The cooperative supports farming families by taking care of packaging, marketing and distribution of the produce so farmers can focus on growing the best possible food. New South also provides training, technical support, and access to credit and loan services.

All of the farmers in New South are committed to the highest standards of production—every farm is either Certified Organic or Certified Naturally Grown. Through the CSA, or community supported agriculture, program members sign-up and pay in advance to ensure farmers have the funds they need to maintain fields, fix tools, sow seeds, plant and harvest. When the CSA begins, you get a share of fresh, sustainably grown produce every week of the season.

This year, you can also add meat from Grass Roots Farmers’ Cooperative, another organization Heifer USA helped establish, as well as flowers and cheese.

Make sure to sign up for the New South CSA soon—the first pick-up is the first week of May!
