Do you have what it takes to eat and drink on just $1.50 a day? Join Heifer International and the Arkansas Foodbank for lunch on Wednesday, April 29, to find out and help us raise awareness for one of the biggest issues in the world today: extreme poverty.
You’ll enjoy a meal prepared by the chef at Café@Heifer that reflects the lack of choice faced by people living in extreme poverty. All you have to do is either donate what you might normally spend for lunch as a contribution to Heifer International's Live Below the Line campaign and/or bring a canned good as a donation to the Arkansas Foodbank.
This is the second year that Heifer has hosted a lunch, but the first year that we're opening it to the public. If living on $1.50 for an entire week is daunting, this is the perfect event if you want to get invovled but you don't know how.
