Are you a Top Chef fan? Tonight, at 10/9c, Season 4 of Top Chef Masters premiers, and Heifer International has a chef supporter in the running!
Chef Patricia Yeo was working on a biochemistry degree at Princeton University when she met Bobby Flay during a cooking class at the New York Restaurant School, and redirected her scientific knowledge to the kitchen. Yeo worked in restaurants on the east and west coasts, eventually opening an Asian-inspired American restaurant, AZ, in New York City in 1999. In 2007, she moved to South East Asia to immerse herself in the food and culture. In 2009, Yeo moved to Boston to be Executive Chef at OM Restaurant & Lounge in Cambridge. She recently opened MOKSA Pan Asian Izakaya, also in Cambridge.
Top Chef Masters is a culinary competition between 12 world-renowned chefs, who are competing on behalf of their favorite charity. In each episode, the winners of the Quickfire Challenge will win $5,000, and winners of the Elimination Challenges will be given $10,000 for their charities. The title of Top Chef Master comes with a $100,000 award for the winner's charity.
We are honored and excited Patricia Yeo has selected Heifer International as her charity. We'll be rooting for her, and I hope you will be, too!
