How does giving through my workplace through payroll deduction help Heifer?
Here are 3 smart reasons workplace giving could make sense for you.
- Ease: You get the benefits of automatic payroll deductions without losing the tax advantages of giving to Heifer.
- Budget: If you set up a smaller amount of money to be taken from each paycheck throughout the year, you can donate a larger amount of money and have a greater impact overall. For example, if you get paid every two weeks (26 times a year) and you donate $38.50 of each paycheck to Heifer, you will have donated $1,000 by the end of the year. Small gifts add up to large impacts!
- Matching Gift: Some employers will also match your contributions up to a certain amount. This helps your employer’s philanthropic support go even further, and it makes your gift to the causes you care about even bigger.
