Women face countless barriers to financial access — maybe they can’t sign their name, maybe they don’t have collateral or can’t prove their income. This makes opening a bank account — let alone acquiring a loan — challenging if not impossible.

But when you give to the Micro-Loan Impact Fund, you break down these barriers, giving women in Africa the opportunity to gain financial independence for the first time.

  • The Micro-Loan Impact Fund provides loans to women entrepreneurs in the Naija Unlock program in Nigeria.
  • 100% of donations to the Micro-Loan Impact Fund go toward loans for project members.
  • Once a loan has been repaid, it is lent out again to another farmer, creating a domino effect.

How The Micro-Loan Impact Fund Works

Step 1

You donate to the Micro-Loan Impact Fund. A farmer receives financial training and a loan, which she uses to increase her farm’s production.

Step 2

After harvest, the farmer repays the loan, building credit and gaining financial access. As her business grows, so does her income.

Step 3

Your gift returns to the fund to become another loan, repeating the cycle and helping another woman achieve the same success!

She Benefits – And So Do You

  • Borrowers are protected and receive training in farming and financial literacy.
  • Women use the $525 loans to buy solar-powered water pumps, bringing dependable irrigation to their fields.
  • The loan repayment schedule is customized to the farmer and the loan is repaid after harvest.
  • Through the loan, a farmer establishes her credit and becomes bankable.
  • Your donation becomes a gift that keeps on giving – when the initial loan is repaid, it’s lent out to help another person.
  • You receive impact reports about how your gift has changed lives.
  • Your charitable donation is tax deductible.
