Rasmussen steps into new role with the organization following global recruitment process
Little Rock, AR — Heifer International today announces the appointment of Marcia Rasmussen as its new Chief Financial Officer. Rasmussen was appointed from a diverse pool of candidates following a rigorous global recruitment process and replaces Bob Bloom, who retired in October 2021.
A resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, Rasmussen has worked with Heifer’s teams globally to improve financial management, performance and systems as Vice President of Enterprise Accounting and Controller and, most recently, interim Chief Financial Officer. She brings more than ten years’ experience supporting teams across 21 countries to end hunger and poverty in a sustainable way.

Prior to Heifer, Rasmussen served in various financial and analytical roles for Kimberly-Clark Corporation, a multinational producer of paper-based products, and Fives Giddings & Lewis, a leading manufacturer of metal-cutting machine tools. At Heifer, she has played a leading role building and implementing robust financial management systems and establishing a strong global finance function.

Rasmussen will start her new role on January 1, 2022, overseeing Enterprise Accounting, Global Finance Operations, Financial Planning and Analysis, Facilities, IT, and Risk Management and Assurance.
