LITTLE ROCK, AR, Dec 12, 2023 – Global development organization Heifer International is unveiling a new look for the office building of its downtown Little Rock campus.

The award-winning, environmentally friendly building, located at 1 World Avenue in the city’s East Village, was mainly built with local and recycled materials and opened in 2006. Work began in April 2023 to fully renovate the top two floors of the four-floor building that serves as Heifer’s headquarters, for use by the almost 150 Heifer employees who live and work in the greater Little Rock area.

“Heifer International has its roots in Little Rock and we will remain here,” said Surita Sandosham, president and CEO. “As the organization approaches its 80th anniversary in 2024, we are taking efforts to update and refresh our headquarters, which serve as a hub for our work across the globe."

The decision to renovate the headquarters space came in response to the organization's move during the COVID-19 pandemic toward more flexible workplace arrangements for employees. Updates include the addition of two state-of-the-art virtual conference rooms, a new outdoor patio, a wellness room, and multiple large meeting spaces known as collaboration zones, among others.

As previously stated by Heifer, it is exploring other options for the remaining space in the Little Rock campus building.

Heifer International also owns and operates the Heifer Ranch Center for Regenerative Agriculture in Perryville, Arkansas.
