Thanks to your support, the lives and futures of families are transforming one day at a time! Heifer participants in the Empowering Women Farmers in India project have accomplished so much. I want you to learn more about one successful participant, Indira Devi.

Through the Empowering Women Farmers in India project, Indira has a promising new path in life. She received two goats, fruit and vegetable seeds, and proper education and training for her animal and crops. She’s now raising 10 healthy goats and has become a pillar in her community!

Empowered by Heifer, Indira is on the board of her all-women led farmers group — the first of its kind in her impoverished region of Bihar. Along with her own successful goat farm, she manages the finances and sales for the cooperative. And because she knows the positive difference the project has made for her family, she also works to bring new members into the group.

With the money she earns, Indira can feed her children nutritious food and ensure they have a good education. Because of you, Indira now has much to be proud of.
