Heifer Village public events educate your family about other cultures and global issues. Check out our Heifer Village events calendar often to see all the activities scheduled.

Unless otherwise stated, events are free, open to all ages, and you may drop in at any time during the event hours.

Heifer Hour Activities

11 a.m., the second Saturday of the month.
Children and their parents can enjoy a new activity every month. Heifer Hour features a craft, game, children’s book or outdoor activity to help teach kids about caring for the Earth and for other people. Activities are geared for children K-5. All materials are provided by Heifer.

June 2 - Milk: Make a milk carton bird house.

June 9 - Muscle: Plant a tree.

June 13 - Money: Create a yarn bee.

June 16 - Manure: Making a compost bin. 

June 23 - Materials: Make a cardboard barn.

June 30 - Meat: Create a fish craft.

July 7 - Motivation: Market activity

July 11 - Milk: Butter making.

July 14- Muscle: Learn about water buffalos.

July 21 - Money: Chicken cup activity.

July 28 - Manure: Make a cardboard worm.

August 4 - Materials: Create a cup greenhouse.

August 8- Meat: Protein Wheel and dolma.
