Heifer Village public events educate your family about other cultures and global issues. Check out our Heifer Village events calendar often to see all the activities scheduled.

Unless otherwise stated, events are free, open to all ages, and you may drop in at any time during the event hours.

Heifer Hour Activities

11 a.m., the second Saturday of the month.
Children and their parents can enjoy a new activity every month. Heifer Hour features a craft, game, children’s book or outdoor activity to help teach kids about caring for the Earth and for other people. Activities are geared for children K-5. All materials are provided by Heifer.

September 13- Asia - Bangladeash - Goats

Decorate a goat picture in Bangladesh style and learn how families are helped by goats. 

October 11 - Asia - Cambodia - Fish

Create a fish craft to take home and find out how important fish are in Cambodia.

November 8 - Europe - Romania - Chickens

The chickens that help farmers in Romanina - let's create a take home craft that will remind you of how important chickens can be.

December 13 - Africa - Kenya - Camels

Did you know camels are one of the many perfect gifts for the holidays? To some families in Kenya they are life savers. A camel themed diorama is the perfect craft to make and take home.
