Heifer Village public events educate your family about other cultures and global issues. Check out our Heifer Village events calendar often to see all the activities scheduled.
Unless otherwise stated, events are free, open to all ages, and you may drop in at any time during the event hours.
Heifer Hour Activities
11 a.m., the second Saturday of the month. Plus every Tuesday in June and July
Children and their parents can enjoy a new activity every month. Heifer Hour features a craft, game, children’s book or outdoor activity to help teach kids about caring for the Earth and for other people. Activities are geared for children K-5. All materials are provided by Heifer.

July 1 - Training and Education
Lets plant something! Learn how to grow your own plant, just like families all over the world leard to do through Heifer International.
July 8 - Genuine Need and Justice
Let's learn about wants and needs by creating your own "What I Need" collage.
July 12 - Sustainability and Self-Reliance
Come join us to discover how we all care for the Earth. Create a "wreath of hands" to take home.
July 15 - Improved Animal Management
Learn about the lift of chickens by making your own "Life Cycle of a Chicken" model.
July 22 - Spirituality
Join us in talking about how we are all connected. Create your own "My Place in the World" flip book to take home!
July 29 - Accountability
What does it mean to be responsible and respectful of others? Come join us and create your own "Character Counts" accountability diagram.
August 9 - Sharing and Caring
Let's discover ways we can all care and share with one another by creating your own "Sharing Hands" book to take home.
