December 31, 2013 would have been Heifer Founder Dan West's 120th birthday. Without him there would be no Heifer International. His concept of providing the world's hungry with the tools they need to feed themselves is what drives us to this day. He was a visionary.

Today is also the day that people start to get serious about what they are resolving to do differently for the next year. So while you're thinking about how you can improve your life in 2014, why not add resolving to improve the lives of others as well?

Join us in our 70th anniversary year and commit to ending hunger. There are a number of ways you can get involved other than helping us place livestock with families in need. Volunteer your time, use your social media for social change or experience our programming at a learning center.

Together we can make 2014 a better year for so many more.
