Hunt for Health at Farmers Markets

Hunt for Health at Farmers Markets

During August 5-10, celebrate National Farmers Market Week by shopping for healthy, local food that supports local farmers. And find amazing deals on a variety of fresh produce.

Our domestic project treasures access to markets and the communities built around them. We work with small-scale farmers and schools in the Arkansas Delta and Appalachia regions of the U.S.

Farmers Markets are a great place to teach kids about farming, introduce new eats and find little treasures. And a scavenger hunt is a fun way to get kids involved.

All you need is a simple, hand-drawn list!

Kids check off their list as you shop. Afterwards, let kids pick a food item from their list for a snack. Incorporate new food items by making a few lists for each season.
