On July 10, 2013, Heifer Guatemala Project Coordinator Gerson Coy and field technician Estuardo de la Cruz delivered agricultural seeds to Candelaria Rolando Cab, coordinator of the local Santa Ana Institute.

A week later, Mayor Nestor Caal Cac of San Antonio Senahu and a technical team in charge of the City Forest Nursery met to sign a cooperation agreement between Heifer Guatemala and the Municipality of San Antonio Senahu in Alta Verapaz.

Heifer Guatemala presented and explained its gifts, which will help establish a forest nursery. Mayor Cac was presented with mahogany forest seeds, as well as melina, palo blanco, pinus maximinoi, conacaste and cenicero trees.
