Every Sunday we will highlight some of the people who are funding our work creatively or helping us spread the word of our mission online. If you spot Heifer International while you’re surfing the web or know of a fun or creative fundraising effort, please share it with us here in the comments.

A 9-year-old, fluffy marshmallowy goodness, and some ingenuity make for an awesome business venture. Even better, 10 percent of the proceeds from this tasty venture is donated to Heifer International.

See some cute pics at a petting zoo to benefit Heifer International on the My Life in Stories blog!

Thanks to the Giulia Geranium blog for sharing the idea of giving a Heifer gift for Mother's day, the perfect way to let her know that she "had something to do with the magnificent person you have become, right?"

Michael wrote a thoughtful blog about luxury vs. needs and how we live. A friend of his, who has been scrutinizing his own spending lately, has challenged him to start asking himself "Do I need this and if so, why?" And he mentions charities we all can donate our extra cash to, including Heifer International. Thanks Michael!

Here's another thoughtful blog post, just in time for Mother's Day, titled "Five Lessons the Church Could Learn from a Mother" on The First Church Redwood City blog. This minister and mother talks about when her son asked to go on a group visit to Heifer projects in Cambodia and Vietnam. Not only was this a great opportunity for son, she found her own opportunity to grow herself and say "yes" to him going.
