Return to World Ark Blog Landing

Here at Heifer, where our mission is to end hunger and poverty and care for the Earth, every week is, to some degree, Earth Week; every day an Earth Day. Last year we hosted a series examining how Heifer projects promote a healthier environment around the world (read part 1, part 2 and part 3).

This year's theme from the Earth Day Network is Mobilize the Earth, and instead of focusing on what Heifer does to build a more sustainable future, we'd like to focus on what you are going to do.

So tell us here in the comments what you plan to do to celebrate Earth Day this Sunday and what everyday changes you'll make to protect our planet. If you need some inspiration, Huffington Post has a seven-day Earth Week challenge for you.

And be sure to visit the Earth Day Network's Billion Acts of Green site to log your pledge.
