Today is International Women's Day. Why is there a day set aside for women? Because despite representing half the population, women are disproportionately affected by global issues—like hunger and poverty and their underlying causes—and consistently denied a seat at the table.

Here at Heifer International, we see this social injustice happen every day, and it's why we actively work to improve opportunities for women. We equip them with resources and training to ensure they have the means to live sustainable livelihoods and are reaching leadership positions at every level. We know that empowering and investing in rural women has been shown to significantly increase productivity, reduce hunger and malnutrition and improve rural livelihoods.
This year, we're launching a campaign to celebrate the women who are the backbone of our projects AND the women who support us. We're hoping you join in, take our quiz, and choose to stand with women worldwide.
