Join us on Friday, Nov. 18 for a special day of giving in Southeastern Pennsylvania by participating in The Extraordinary Give. This community-wide celebration is a 24-hour online giving event for residents to give to participating charities.
This is the first year Heifer International and the Southeast Pennsylvania Volunteer Heifer Committee has been involved in the Extraordinary Give event.
Heifer empowers families and communities to turn hunger and poverty into hope and prosperity. For 72 years, thousands of donors and numerous volunteers promoting Heifer’s mission have created a strong history for Heifer in southeast Pennsylvania. The history began with Heifer’s first CEO, Ben Bushong, and several seagoing cowboys hailing from this area, not to mention the countless number of animals given by donors.
Sponsored by the Lancaster County Community Foundation and community partners, the Extraordinary Give is Lancaster Country’s largest day of giving. In addition to dollars raised, sponsors pool $300,000 in additional funds and prizes that are awarded to the charities in different categories. Last year, more than 40,000 donors contributed over $6.1 million.
The Extraordinary Give allows donors to give on a smartphone or desktop computer by going to ExtraGive.org. All donations received through the ExtraGive-Heifer International link on Friday, Nov.18 will receive extra funds to support the mission of Heifer and honoring its 72-year history of volunteering in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Please join us in going the extra mile for Heifer on November 18!
