The British government's chief scientist shares his concerns about the global food system in this BBC video interview.

He debunks a couple of misconceptions and discusses a report he commissioned on food security that is expected to say that international leaders must start working together now to find ways to boost production.

The main problems facing food supplies in the future are population growth and climate change, he says.
