A Heifer delegation including interim CEO Charles Stewart leaves Sunday for Port au Prince and Les Cayes, Haiti, for a week of visits with longtime and new partners and Heifer participants all working together to improve living conditions in the months following the powerful earthquake that struck Haiti on Jan. 12.

On the trip from headquarters in Little Rock will be Edwin Rocha, director of programs for the Americas; Hervil Cherubin, UALR professor and Heifer consultant on Haiti; and from World Ark myself and Bryan Clifton, our photographer for this trip.
We'll visit four Heifer projects and share the stories of the families working hard to overcome tremendous challenges as they struggle to support displaced friends and relatives with nowhere else to go. Look for updates on this blog and in future issues of World Ark, including our Holiday 2010 issue that will hit mailboxes in early November.
