Thank you to those who attended our 5th annual Feast in the Field, a unique farm-to-fork event celebrating family farming around the world and raising funds to benefit projects right here in Arkansas. This local, outdoor event is held on the award-winning grounds of our headquarters, adjacent to the Clinton Presidential Center. Thank you for supporting programs in our home state.
If you would like to be added to the email list to be notified when 2018 tickets are available, or are interested in sponsorship or volunteer opportunities, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also check out Urban Farm Fest, a fun-filled evening featuring food trucks, local brews and lawn games.
Our projects in Arkansas have seen improvement on several fronts, thanks to the generosity of donors like you:
In 2016, average revenue per farmer increased by 7 percent for New South Produce Cooperative and 25 percent for Grass Roots Farmers' Cooperative.
New South provides produce to 450 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shareholders. To date, Grass Roots Farmers' Cooperative has served 647 direct-to-consumer customers; and now has shipping to all 48 continental states.
Thirty-two full-time, off-farm jobs were created between Grass Roots and New South.
In addition, 22 percent of Heifer USA's cooperative farmers are women, compared to only 12 percent of farmers in Arkansas. And about 19 percent of cooperative farmers represent diverse ethnicities, compared to 4 percent of farmers statewide.

Feast in the Field is a zero-waste event. This means the event is powered by our own solar panels, materials are reused or recyclable, and all food and liquids will be composted courtesy of the Urban Food Loop.
Heifer is dedicated to using eco-friendly, sustainable practices in all our work as part of our commitment to care for the Earth.
