Victoria Sekitoleko

Sekitoleko is an agribusiness/rural development professional. A retired banker, politician and international civil servant with broad experience in local, national, regional and international development. Has an Agribusiness academic background. Holds a bachelors degree in Agriculture extension and management plus a number of certificates in areas like agriculture financing, rural development, international development, leadership, women in development, counseling etc. She first worked as a development banker for 13 years prior to joining politics as a the minister of Agriculture for 9 years, after which she proceeded to the Food and Agriculture organization of the United nations based in Zimbabwe but covering Eastern and Southern Africa then later moved to Ethiopia to represent The Food and Agriculture organization at AU/ECA and Ethiopia, was finally moved on to do the same job in China, Mongolia and the Democratic Republic of Korea. 

Currently serving as vice chairperson Private Sector foundation of Uganda, chairperson international women in Coffee Alliance Uganda chapter, chairperson panel of judges The Best Farmer Competition, board member Brac international, board member Biyinzika poultry international practicing urban farming and serving as chairperson Uganda Agribusiness Alliance  where they promote Agri talks and rural development. Victoria also teaches public speaking through The Speakers forum.
