Heifer International's unique educational opportunities are crafted around National and Arkansas state academic standards. Heifer Village programs will provoke critical thinking and cooperative learning skills through engaging, interactive and inquiry-based topics.
All youth programs at Heifer Village are offered Monday through Saturday and begin at 9:00 or 11:00 a.m. Programs last approximately 1 to 4 hours (see below).

Discover Heifer
Grades K and Up
Program Length: Approximately 1 hour
Students discover the work of Heifer through a short video followed by a guided exploration of our exhibits and a challenging exhibit hunt for hands-on interaction.
Nutrition at Home and Around the World
Grades 3-4
Program Length: Approximately 1.5 hours
Can you name some nutrients that are important for your body? This program takes students to Mali, Bhutan and Ecuador to explore the typical meals from these countries.
Best of Both Worlds
Grades 3 and Up
Program Length: Approximately 4 hours
Combine a trip to Heifer Village and the Clinton Presidential Library. This is a great option for large groups (max. of 120 students); You will be divided into two groups and alternate time spent at Heifer Village and the Clinton Presidential Library. View Best of Both Worlds program options.
We Are Connected! Exploring Food Systems
Grades 5-6
Program Length: Approximately 1.5 hours
You will be amazed what your favorite chocolate can teach you! Trace the steps involved in bringing foods to our table, and learn how we are connected to our food source.
Environmental Innovations
Grades 5 and Up
Program Length: Approximately 1.5 hours
Through a tour of our green building and surrounding wetlands, students will explore the connection between environment and sustainable livelihoods, and discuss what we can do to protect the environment.
Be an Entrepreneur
Grades 7-8
Program Length: Approximately 1.5 hours
Students will meet amazing individuals from different countries through reading about their experiences of starting a business then learn how these businesses have transformed the communities.
