Immerse yourself in the daily rhythms of a working farm while learning basic animal husbandry skills with specific focus on the birthing process of goats, sheep, swine, cattle, rabbits and the hatching of chicks. It's a beautiful way to spend your spring vacation and learn more about how animals can help lift families out of poverty.
Participants will experience a blend of facilitated discussions, experiential hands-on learning activities, direct interaction and work with farm animals, and the camaraderie of living and learning with a diverse group of women.

Will I definitely see a birth?
You will most likely see one species of animal give birth but there are no guarantees as Overlook does not induce birth. The program provides a plethora of learning opportunities (and fun!) regardless of the births.

Women's Lambing 2012 Program Dates
March: 23-26, March 30-April 2
April: 4-7, 13-16
Women's Lambing Registration
Participants: Women ages 16 (those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult) and older of all backgrounds and experiences.
Per Person Tuition Fees: $475 (due upon registration)
Tuition Fee Includes: Educational programming including work projects, shared lodging and meals (dinner the first night to breakfast the last day)
Cancellation Policy: After December 1, the tuition fee is non-refundable. Cancellations prior to December 1, 2011 will receive an 80% refund. 20% is retained for administrative costs.
