Volunteer at Heifer Village

Pass on your gifts to help Heifer International end hunger and poverty and care for the Earth by volunteering at Heifer Village in downtown Little Rock. Whether you become a guide, help visitors in Shop@Heifer or volunteer at special events, your contribution makes a difference.

Volunteers must commit to a minimum of one shift per week, or four to five hours a week for at least 6 months. Shifts available are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and complete required training.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Visitor Relations — Welcome and assist visitors and facilitate a positive, engaging experience
  • Special Events Assistant — Assist Heifer staff before, during and after special events
  • Guides — Lead visitors through the hands-on exhibits designed to increase the impact of their experience; lead tours that showcase Heifer’s award-winning green building
  • Education — Assist Education staff with the preparation and facilitation of programs for school groups and the general public
  • Shop@Heifer — Help shoppers with selecting earth- and artisan-friendly products
  • Office Assistant — Provide vital behind-the-scenes support
