Women's Lambing at Heifer Ranch

During the lambing season, women from across the country visit Heifer Ranch to participate in a unique agriculture edcaution program that focuses on the birth of kids and lambs. Paticipants wil have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the dayily life of a demostration farm while learning basic animal husbandry skills and Heifer's work around the world. The activities throughout the program help participants understand and appreciate the lives of those helped by Heifer.

Guests will stay on Heifer Ranch in a climate-controlled lodge with two people to a room. Each room includes towels, bed linens and a private bathroom. Meals are served cafeteria-style in the dining hall.

Activities include:

  • Courses on birthing lambs and kids
  • Birth Checks
  • Ranch Tours
  • Farm Chores such as caring for animals and gardens
  • Heifer Education Sessions

During their time on the Heifer Ranch, participants should be prepared for up to two miles of walking on a full day's program.

Women's Lambing Program Requirements
Minimum Age:
14. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tuition Fee Includes: Educational programming, work projects, shared lodging and meals (dinner the first night to breakfast on the last day) and shuttle service to and from the Little Rock Airport.

All programs below are in Perryville, Arkansas.
