When you volunteer with Heifer, lives are changed. Including yours.
Heifer International Learning Center at Overlook Farm is an educational farm which provides experiential education that inspires, challenges and engages people to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth. The volunteers work as a team to create experiences that change the lives of thousands of participants who then go on to change the lives of millions around the world. Volunteers come from across the United States and from the local community. They range from children with their parents to college students to retirees.
Residential VolunteersOverlook’s residential volunteer opportunities are for people of ages 18+ years interested in living and working on the farm for three to 12 months, dependent on the position. Residential volunteers help carry out Heifer's mission by facilitating educational programs, assisting with farm operations, and preparing meals. The first two weeks of the volunteer’s term-of-service are orientation and training. Overlook Farm provides communal on-site housing, stipend and a limited number of AmeriCorps educational awards.
