Directions to Overlook Farm

Overlook Farm is located in Rutland, Massachusetts 62 miles West of Boston.

From Points North (Greenfield, MA - Vermont - Western New Hampshire):

Take Route 2 to Route 68 South in Gardner.  Follow Route 68 South for approximately 15 miles.  In Rutland, turn left at the blinking yellow light at Wachusett Street.  Follow for 0.5 mile; turn right at the large yellow “Overlook Farm” sign.

From Points Northeast (Methuen, MA - Eastern New Hampshire - Maine):

Take Route 2 West to I-190 South to Route 12 South into Sterling Center.  Take a right onto Route 62 West and follow to Princeton Center.  (Approximately 7 miles from Sterling Center.)  At the blinking yellow light at the top of the hill in  Princeton Center, go STRAIGHT ACROSS the road into Boylston Avenue (Boylston Avenue will turn into Brooks Station Road and then into Wachusett Street when you enter Rutland.)  YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ON ROUTE 62 OR 31.  Follow 2.5 miles and you will come to a four-way stop intersection.  Go straight ahead.  Continue for another 1.5 miles and you will see a large yellow “Overlook Farm” sign, turn left into our driveway.

From Points East and Southeast (Boston, Cape Cod):  Take I-495 North to I-290 West.  Then follow directions below*

From Points South (Rhode Island):  Take Route 146 North to I-290 East in Worcester, MA.  Then follow directions below*

From Points South (Eastern Connecticut):  Take I-395 North, which becomes I-290 East.  Then take I-290 East through Worcester.  Then follow directions below*

 * Take I-190 North to Exit 2 (Sign says “Ararat Street/Greendale”); go straight thru the first stoplight.  Then bear to your right (this is an access road.)  At the end of the access road, at the next stoplight, turn left onto West Mountain Street.  At a full set of stoplights, turn left onto Shrewsbury Street (there’s a small “Holden” sign) and go straight for approximately one mile to the second set of lights, which is the intersection with Route 122A.  Bear to the right onto Route 122A North into Holden Town center.  Follow Route 122A through Holden, for approximately 3.8 miles.  Turn right onto Route 68 North and follow for 2.5 miles to the blinking yellow light.  Turn right onto Wachusett Street.  Follow for 0.5 mile; turn right at the large yellow “Overlook Farm” sign.

From Points West (Central & Southern New York State- Springfield, MA) & Southwest (Central Connecticut  Hartford  Southbridge, MA):  From Western Mass or most of New York State - take Interstate 90 East (Mass Pike) to Exit 9 for I-84/Rt. 20/ Sturbridge - Follow Route 20 East towards Sturbridge.  Or if you are coming from central Connecticut or NYC follow I-84 North to Exit 3A for Route 20 East / Sturbridge. Then follow Route 20 East to Charlton City and then take Route 31 North.  Stay on Route 31 (each time you leave a small town double check the road you are on) until you enter Holden Town center and turn left at the stoplight, onto Route 122A North.  Turn right onto Route 68 North and follow for 2.5 miles to the blinking yellow light.  Turn right onto Wachusett Street.  Follow for 0.5 mile; turn right at the large yellow “Overlook Farm” sign.
