Cambodian Woman Lifts Her Family Out of Poverty

Ouk Sam On, a farmer living in Cambodia’s Ampao Prey village with her husband and two children, is lifting her family out of poverty, thanks to a Heifer project. She and her husband now have a farm with vegetables, fish, swine and poultry production. Her husband gave up drinking and gambling and helps with the farming. Now her family has enough food for the whole year and an appropriate income to invest in their children’s education.

Passing on the Gift® Brings Joy to Dengbao Village

About 100 people gathered for a Passing on the Gift® ceremony in Dengbao Village's learning center. Participants take pride in their contributions to create the shared space in this Chinese village.

Armenia Families See Project Success

In 2008, Heifer International launched its project in Armavir in partnership with the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF), in which 115 original families received cows and sheep, and 60 more received animals from their neighbors through Passing on the Gift® (POG). Later this year another POG ceremony will incorporate more people into Heifer Armenia's project in Armavir.
