Heifer names Robert Bloom, former Vestcom, Acxiom exec, chief financial officer

Heifer International today announced Robert Bloom as the hunger-fighting organization's new Chief Financial Officer. Bloom, formerly of Vestcom International and Acxiom Corp., will oversee financial, technology and human resources activities for Heifer International, starting June 16, 2011.

Heifer staff, families OK following Myanmar 6.8 magnitude quake

Heifer International staff and project families are reported to be shaken but safe following a magnitude 6.8 earthquake that struck in Myanmar near the borders of China, Thailand and Laos Thursday night. Country staff continues to check in with project sites and families for updates, and our prayers and concerns go out to those whose lives have been tragically impacted by this disaster.
