Heifer Study Tours for Educators:
This tour will make you a better teacher. And a better person.

Apply for a Heifer Study Tour for Educators and prepare for a life-changing experience. This inspiring, firsthand look into Heifer’s work in Honduras will challenge you and prepare you to speak and teach proficiently on the most pressing issues of our time like world hunger, poverty, food security and environmental issues affecting our world. You’ll see Heifer Honduras projects up close, interact with local participants and engage in workshops with Honduras staff. Visits to some local cultural and historical sites, such as the Mayan Ruins, are also included. All tours are led by Heifer staff.

Applications will be available in January 2010.
June 15-23 and June 22-30

Heifer Study Tours for Educators trains participants to develop leadership roles in their local Heifer School Programs. Some pre- and post- trip commitments are expected of all participants.  Continuing Education Credit (CEU) is available. 

A grant from Heifer International pays for international air transportation, land transportation within the given country, accommodations and meals as well as resource materials for teachers, administrators and other educators.
