Professional Development Opportunities:

Special Heifer University and Study Tours for Educators

Teaching begins with learning. As we work together to build a world without need, special sessions of Heifer University and annual Study Tours just for educators can provide personal enrichment, professional growth and new understanding of hunger, poverty and environmental damage.

Each summer, Heifer selects educators to travel to Heifer project sites in a selected country or region. Participants receive a grant funding their major expenses, including accommodations and travel. The trips are small and provide educators a wonderful opportunity to learn from each other as they learn from project partners around the world.

Also, Heifer offers occasional sessions of Heifer University especially for educators. Heifer U gives participants a full education on Heifer's work.
