This year, we’re offering you a new way to end hunger and poverty – with a selection of Heifer projects from around the world. When you choose to fund a project, you decide where to invest your gift. You pick the projects that are most important to you. You decide how you’d like to change the world for the better.

Fund a Project - Agricultural Development in Poland

Poland - Agriculture and Tourism Development Project
Located in the Carpathian Mountain region of Southeastern Poland, this project will promote sustainable beekeeping, cattle breeding and educational tourism in the neighboring villages of Rymanów Spa, Dylagowa, and Pobiedno.

   
Fund a Project - Ukraine

Ukraine - Carpathian Project
Through this project, Heifer International will help 110 rural families in the villages of Borynia and Komarnyky improve their knowledge of agricultural production and processing, and green tourism.

China - Cuomei Tibetan Community Development Project
Seventy yellow cattle, 210 female yaks and related training and services will be provided to 140 impoverished Tibetan families to improve their living standard.

Zambia - Rural Community Development Project 
This five-year effort will improve the lives of many families living in poverty in Zambia. Providing livestock. agroecology training and marketing support will enable these families to acheive sustainable food and income supplies.

Tanzania - Natural Resources Management Project 
In northeast Tanzania, families are facing extreme hardships due to low incomes and lack of proper care for existing resources. This project will supply honeybees and fish fingerlings, plus specialized training in resource management,  beekeeping and agroforestry.

Romania - Carpathian Project
In the heart of the Romanian Carpathian Mountains, farmer communities in the Dorna Depression, Brosteni, and neighboring counties Poiana Teiului and Tulghes are facing many challenges. This project will create jobs and provide income while fostering traditional activities such as local Turcana sheep breeding, trout fish production and lamb fattening.

Nepal - Sustainable Community Development Project
This project will assist a total of 1385 families in the Chitwan, Nawalparasi and Palpa Districts of Nepal, which are characterized by widespread poverty, caste discrimination, and illiteracy, among other problems.

   
Fund a Project - Honduras End Hunger

Honduras - Promotion of Food Sovereignty Project
This 5-year umbrella project will assist 2,385 families that live in communities in Southern Honduras’s Departments of Choluteca, Valle and the southern part of Francisco Morazán.

   
Uganda - Eastern Uganda Umbrella Project
The three-year Umbrella Project will be comprised of five groups of projects (three dairy cattle and two goat) with the animals going to a total of 308 families.

Kenya - Kimisha Mwangaza Women's Group Project

This dairy project is owned by the Women’s Group, which is comprised of 36 women, of whom 16 are widows or single mothers.

Tanzania - North East Zone Dairy Goat Project

A Participatory Rural Appraisal exercise was conducted in these 10 villages to identify priority community needs and areas for assistance. This project will improve nutrition levels, increase income and protect the environment by practicing zero-grazing.
