Heifer Ranch's Individual and Small Group Programs

The following educational programs are available for small group and individual registrations at Heifer Ranch, located in Perryville, AR.

Programs for Youth
Global Gateway
The realities of obtaining shelter, food, water and firewood. An existence in which nothing can be taken for granted. Heifer’s Global Village gives participants an unforgettable walk in the shoes of another’s reality, through an experience of poverty, possibility and hope.

Summer Action
Service participants engage in a journey of personal growth.  They commit to the value of serving others through interactive learning, community building and work projects.  Summer Action is primarily an education program that also includes service activities. Participants will engage in activities that teach them more about world hunger, Heifer International’s mission and perhaps most importantly about themselves. They will learn about their role as global citizens and about how their choices affect the lives of others. They will learn they are a part of a global community and they have the power to make decisions to improve the lives of others.

Programs for Adults

Farm Programs
Farm Programs vary in focus to provide farm training or to introduce the general public to farm life and Heifer’s mission to end hunger and poverty in a way that cares for the earth.

Women’s Lambing Season Programs
During the Ranch’s lambing season, women from varying locations and lifestyles have an opportunity to learn about Heifer’s mission, participate in basic wool crafts and cheese-making classes and experience a taste of light farm chores. Throughout the program participants will be able to visit our pastures and possibly witness the birth a lamb.
