Overlook Farm's Programs for Groups

From ages Pre-K thru adult there are several opportunities for groups to participate in educational programming at Overlook Farm, located in Rutland, Massachusetts. All programs for groups are listed below in progressive programming order.

Tours – (Pre-K to Adult; 2 1/2 hour programs)
Learn about the work, mission, and history of Heifer International and gain an appreciation of the value of livestock and sustainable agriculture for improving sources of nutrition and income.

Cultural Connections – (4th-6th grades; 3 hour program)
Celebrate the culture of those helped by Heifer.

Girl Scout Badge Workshop – (4th-6th grades; 5 hour program)
Earn a Junior Girl Scouts badge while learning more about the daily lives of those helped by Heifer.

H.O.P.E. – (6th-12th grades; 5-7 hour program)
Explore Heifer International's sustainable agricultural approaches while learning more about Heifer’s work around the world.

Global Gateway - (6th grade and older; overnight program)
Experience the daily struggles that people in poverty face everyday to simply feed their family a meager meal.

Bridges – (6th grade and older; 2 or 3 night program)
Engage in a variety of activities that help you gain a deeper sense of your commitment to each other, your communities and the world. Leave prepared to work together and to take action to create a world without need.

Summer Action – (12 years or 6th grade and older; 4 night program)
Complete service projects and participate in educational activities that teach about Heifer's developmental approach to solving world hunger and poverty.

Alternative Spring Break – (6th-College; 5 day program)
Embark on a journey of personal growth as you learn about Heifer's mission, poverty and hunger and caring for the earth.
