Heifer’s Global Village programs show participants that sometimes having a little means a lot. Whether spending one night or multiple days and nights in a village representing one of the regions in which Heifer works – Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia/South Pacific, or the Americas (Latin America and North America) – participants will be taken through the daily struggles that impoverished people face.

In living the lives of others, you’ll find that something extraordinary happens. Your attitudes about individual action, community cooperation, and sustainable solutions for global hunger, poverty and the environment will be transformed. Your understanding of the world – and your place in it – will change forever.

Heifer Global Village Programs
Global Explorers, for 5th through 6th graders, engages middle school youth in an investigation of how their everyday choices impact people and places thousands of miles away.

Global Gateway, for 6th grade through college-aged, is a more intense program that takes participants through the daily struggles that impoverished people face everyday.  
   
Global Challenge, for 6th grade through college-aged, combines the Global Gateway program with team-building activities. 

Global Passport, for 9th grade through college-aged, is the most challenging Heifer Global Village program that creates a real understanding of the need for organizations like Heifer International.
