Heifer Board of Directors

Stephen A. Mondora, Cape Coral Florida

Stephen A. Mondora (Steve) is an at-large director, residing in the Southeast region. Steve is the Immediate Past Chair of the Board, and as such, he also serves as a member of the Board Executive Committee.

Prior to Steve's retirement from the private business sector, he was a General Manager for UNISYS Corporation, where he directed several districts that sold, installed, and maintained computer & communications hardware and software products. He remains active in the business community on a part time basis and is currently under contract as an Executive Consultant/Coach to a major computer software company.

He and his wife, Carolyn, have served as volunteers with Heifer for many years. For four years they served as full-time Co-directors of Heifer’s National Distribution Center, and then located to the Heifer Ranch near Little Rock, AR. In that position, they were responsible for procurement, warehousing and distribution of all program materials, literature, and promotional products sold or donated to individuals, churches and organization throughout the world.

Over the years, Steve worked on many construction projects being done to accommodate Heifer’s phenomenal growth both at the Ranch and at the World Headquarters in Little Rock. While at The Ranch and at the request of Heifer executives, he also served as an “on call” management consultant, assisting them whenever he could with various business issues.

He and Carolyn are residents of Fort Myers, Florida. Steve is an accomplished trumpet player and is a member of the Gulf Coast Symphony and the Sanibel Community Band.
