Community Volunteering

Passing on the Gift is a Heifer cornerstone. And Heifer's Community Volunteers pass on the gift by helping spread the word about Heifer’s work and sustainable solutions in their own schools, workplaces, clubs, congregations, or communities – in their own backyards, in other words.

Heifer has Zone Representatives throughout the country to provide Community Volunteers with practical ideas for getting involved.

Your Zone Representatives will answer questions and provide information about educational programs, training opportunities and other community outreach ideas. They can help you find speakers on issues of hunger and Heifer’s work, and even help you become a speaker.
