Participants engage in a variety of activities that help them gain a deeper sense of their commitment to each other, their communities and the world. They will leave prepared to work together and take action for a world without hunger or poverty. Print Informational Flyer
Activities include: Global Gateway - For one night, Global Gateway participants experience the daily struggles people in poverty face everyday to simply feed their family a meager meal. Participants are given little to eat – just some rice, vegetables and eggs – and they must find a way to build a fire and cook their meal. The challenge continues on into the night as they sleep in simple housing, such as a bamboo Thailand home.
Heifer Challenge - Challengers increase their awareness of environmental and hunger related issues through the use of globally themed team building initiatives and challenges that provide an emotionally safe environment to encourage reflection and self growth.
