Heifer Ranch's Summer Action
Summer Action participants engage in a journey of personal growth. They commit to the value of serving others through interactive learning, community building and work projects. Participants connect with a community that is actively working to end hunger and poverty while caring for the earth.
Service Learning combines our experiential education programs including Global Gateway, Heifer Challenge and hands-on activities, with work projects that help us maintain the ranch and continue to be good stewards for Heifer International.
Summer Action has an educational emphasis with several service opportunities.

“As we read the kids journals, we realize how much they were impacted by the experience and many are inspired to take action like building a compost bin for their parents, researching development/travel opportunities, and sharing what they know with their friends, not to mention trying to come back as volunteers! It was a great fit for our group and we'd love to return sometime again in the future.”
