As the result of a Heifer project in Cambodia, and Values-Based Literacy, 21-year-old Sal Ranny becomes a Literacy Facilitator and realizes her dream of being a primary school teacher.
Heifer Georgia held opening ceremonies for two facilities in two separate projects. The Subtropical Fruit Collection Center in Batumi, West Georgia, was celebrated December 10, 2012, and the Information and Agri-Distributional Center in Tbilisi on December 11.
Visitors traveled to the cooperative milk processing plant Molochnyi krai in Panka village in Ukraine for a study tour on November 28, 2012. This three-day training course, designed for new Literacy Facilitators (LFs) and Community Facilitators (CFs), took place for the first time December 4-6, 2012, at the Heifer office in Phnom Penh.
