Heifer does amazing work throughout the world, here are a few examples. The stories are searchable by continent or country.

For many years, Heifer Armenia and the Fuller Center for Housing Armenia have been striving to better the well-being of rural families.The project helped the Markosyan family renovate their old, partially destroyed house and they also received four beehives from Heifer Armenia.
Young entrepreneur Nairi Hakobyan received a seed grant through Heifer Armenia's YES! Youth Club and established a fruit tree nursery.
Tian Yihua is well-known around her village in China for her filial spirit, sacrificing her time to take care of her ailing mother-in-law and sacrificing a kidney to save her brother's life. Now she is a Heifer project participant, planning to make full use of her potential and carrying forward the spirit of self-reliance by continuing to pass compassion forward onto others.
Merina Tudu lives with her husband Rupen and their 1 1/2-year-old son in Holdibona village, Bangladesh. It was very difficult for them to meet daily living expenses with the income Rupen brought home as a day laborer. When the idea of the Heifer project came up, Rupen was not interested in letting his wife be involved. When they did join the project they received training on Heifer’s 12 Cornerstones for Just and Sustainable Development, which dramatically changed Rupen’s thinking in a positive way. Merina is very active in the self-help group now and has already passed on gifts to other group members.
Heifer Cambodia project participant Reoun Theourk, 31, left school in the sixth grade because of her family's poor living conditions. In 2011, she was selected to be a Literacy Facilitator and began changing her life with the help of Heifer Cambodia and Disability Development Services Program. Her community rewarded her efforts and elected her as a village chief.
