Renuka Dreams of Being Self-Dependent

Renuka Begum, a member of the Protissurity Samaj Unnayan Samitee self-help group (SHG) in Bangladesh, became involved with a Heifer project in 2011. With dreams of being self-dependent, she is well on her way. She is now chairman of the women’s SHG and very involved in her community and her family's improved livelihoods.

A Day in the Agroecological Market in Ambato

The Saturday Fair is comprised of 33 associations from different parts of the Tungurahua province in Ecuador. Only agroecological products are sold at this market, and regular customers say they keep coming every Saturday because of the taste and quality of the products.

Dairy Project in Leyte: Careful Preparation Bringing Success

This Philippines dairy project is seeing positives results in the early stages with participants making careful preparations such as planting forage gardens and building a meeting area. They are set to receive dairy goats in June.
