LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Feb. 8, 2013) – The QBE North America Foundation recently made a generous donation to Heifer International for the second consecutive year. Carolyn Bartholdson, Chief Human Resources Officer at QBE presented the $50,000 check to Paul Yeghiayan, a Major Gifts Officer for Heifer International.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (February 7, 2013) – Arkansans can learn about Heifer International’s one-of-a-kind project in Ghana with animals called “grasscutters” at a presentation at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Roland Kanlisi, Heifer Ghana country director, will share Heifer International’s work to domesticate this rodent, whose meat is highly sought-after, to boost incomes among poor urban residents.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (February 7, 2013) – Francis Bouba-Dalambaye, director of Heifer International’s Senegal country program, will speak at 6 p.m. on Thurs., Feb 21, about the organization’s work to promote drought-resistant agriculture in the arid country. Bouba-Dalambaye will speak at Heifer Village in downtown Little Rock about work that has gained the attention of the Senegalese government and other institutions

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (January 28, 2013) – Heifer International is pleased to rank in the top tier—Number 20—in the second edition of the Global Journal’s Top 100 NGOs. The editors cited Heifer’s Passing on the Gift® as an important component to “ensure project sustainability, develop community and enhance self-esteem by allowing project partners to become donors.”
YEREVAN, Armenia (January 28, 2013) – Heifer International’s Armenia program, working in collaboration with other international institutions, has provided more than 104 pieces of agricultural equipment to 33 farmer cooperatives through the Community Agricultural Resource Management and Competitiveness (CARMAC) project.
