LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Nov 21, 2011) – Show kids the real meaning of generosity this season with a fun-filled day at either Heifer Village in Little Rock, or Overlook Farm in Rutland, Mass. At Heifer International's Celebration of Living Gifts on December 3, children can see how the gift of a goat, llama or camel to one hungry family can help end hunger and poverty.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Nov. 17, 2011) -- Heifer International has been selected to receive a $10,000 grant from Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business, to further Heifer's work to end hunger and poverty and care for the Earth. Based on results of an employee vote, Pioneer chose Heifer to receive the company's quarterly Global Gold Award, which is given to a charitable organization that has a global impact.
It has come to Heifer International's attention that the plush water buffalo toy sold by us and bearing tags with the name "K & M International, Inc." and/or "Wild Republic" may have experience with one of the eyes coming off the toy. While there have been no reports of injury, the toy's distributor, K & M International, Inc. has decided to offer a full refund of the purchase price of the toy or at the customer's option, replacement of the toy with a comparable toy. If you purchased one of these toys, please destroy the toy immediately and contact K & M International, Inc. customer service for further instruction.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Oct. 28, 2011) – Serinda Swan, star of the A & E drama series Breakout Kings, is calling her recent visit to a Heifer International project in Cambodia "amazing."
