LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Feb. 3, 2012) The QBE Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Australian based international insurance company of the same name, recently made a generous donation to Heifer International. Heifer is honored to be among several other recipients, chosen by QBE employees, as one of the first charities to receive this grant.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Feb. 1, 2012) We are honored that the Global Journal ranked Heifer International No. 12 in its first international ranking of nongovernmental organizations. Heifer was selected because its "inexpensive and uncomplicated formula for development has seen improvements in health, nutrition and income as well as increased gender equity and family values for its recipients across-the-board."
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Jan. 20, 2012) – Heifer International, the global hunger nonprofit, is launching a new $23.8 million project in Nepal, with the goal of assisting 138,000 small-scale farmers. The project will focus on goat and dairy production, and on reducing Nepal's reliance on imports for its protein needs.
