Return to World Ark Blog Landing

Two Heifer staffers from headquarters recently returned from a trip to the areas in the Philippines that were hardest hit by Typhoon Haiyan. What they found was incredible. Watch what they had to say about the work.

An update on the recovery efforts ongoing in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan.

Heifer has established a Disaster Rehabilitation Fund to help our vulnerable project communities recover and rebuild after natural disasters. This fund has been nearly exhausted by recent disasters including Typhoons Bopha and Haiyan in the Philippines.

But, today, you can help us replenish our fund. Right now, your contribution, combined with the $1 million in matching funds from an anonymous foundation, will make such an important impact on our ability to help Heifer families and communities affected by disaster meet their urgent needs and resume their journeys toward self-reliance.

There are many efforts underway. Gifts up to $1 million will be leveraged with matching resources provided by an anonymous foundation to meet this exciting opportunity. Gifts received after the $1 million will go towards the general mission of Heifer International.
