Heifer Projects are Sowing Hope in Haiti

While other organizations concentrated on meeting the immediate needs of victims of the 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti, Heifer International quickly launched a series of projects to ensure that Haitians would be able to support themselves once the emergency first responders went home. These projects are igniting incredible transformations. Now, children like five-year-old Kenflore (above right) are able to go to school. Heifer is building on this momentum by launching a project that will help more than 20,000 families -- the largest project of its kind in Haiti's history. Heifer Marks Third Anniversary of Haiti Earthquake...On the third anniversary of the devastating January 2010 Haiti earthquake, Heifer International remembers the quake's victims - those killed and those dislocated - and affirms our commitment to help Haitians emerge from the tragedy stronger than before.
