Maricon and Roger Alagano live in a remote part of the Philippines with their four daughters. Prior to receiving animals and training from Heifer, the family was very happy, but life was hard. Now, the girls are receiving an education and Roger has steady work. The family is sharing what they’ve learned with their neighbors. Now dreams are becoming a reality for the Alaganos.

Heifer CEO Travels: An Update from Nepal

Heifer has implemented a major project in Nepal, focusing on women, that will serve 140,000 farmers and increase families' nutrition and income. The Nepal staff is very confident and very excited at the impact they will have on so many lives. This large-scale project represents Heifer's new commitment to increase its impact and create sustainable structures for entire communities. Pierre Ferrari, Heifer International president and CEO, remarks on the progress of this critical project.
