EADD Regional Office is a strategic hub for information, technical expertise, program leadership and coordination. With a strategic role, it mainly supports country field offices (Kenya, Uganda & Rwanda) in project implementation, identifying and building partnerships and creating awareness of the project impact. It is composed of senior managers, coordinators and directors from the 5 EADD consortium partners. Besides, providing technical oversight and coordination; it leads country teams in capturing, documenting and operationalizing lessons learnt; develops partnerships with national and international public and private sectors players; brokers engagements with key dairy industry actors in the region and beyond; and coordinates and networks with the foundation and other foundation grantees.
Current activities
EADD is adapting its model accordingly in order to respond as best as possible to specific country situation and resulting needs in preparation for launch of project phase 2, expected June 2013. Thus, the Regional Office’s has a strategic plan for developing linkages with key partners and other stakeholders including bilateral organizations, private sector investors, and partnerships with host governments. The project seeks partners who can bring and add value in the areas of milk production, breed improvement, access to credit, milk processing, water management, milk storage and packaging and product transportation and capacity building to increase participation of women and youth. EADD 2 will include Tanzania and Ethiopia as new countries and continue in Uganda and Kenya.

Administrative Structure:
The Regional Office is headed by the Regional Program Director, who leads a team of full time Nairobi based staff including: Regional, Finance & Administration Director, Regional M&E Manager, Regional Dairy Productivity & Gender Manager, EADD 2 Mobilization Manager, Regional Human Resources Manager, Regional Administration Assistant, Information and Communication Officer, Regional Accountant, Regional Business manager and business analysts.
