Nourish Launches New Website and Nourish California
Are you a California educator, parent, or advocate interested in food and sustainability? WorldLink just launched a bold, new initiative called Nourish California, designed to increase food literacy and build healthy communities. The initiative provides free educational resources for use in California’s schools.

For those outside of California, Nourish has a new website (www.nourishlife.org), an online hub for teaching and learning about the story of our food. The website includes free curriculum resources, a short film library, Q&A articles from leading voices of the food movement, and more. We’ll be rolling out new short films each week, so stay tuned.

Nourish Curriculum Now Available

Are you an educator, parent, or advocate interested in teaching youth about food and sustainability? WorldLink and the Center for Ecoliteracy are proud to announce the release of the Nourish Middle School Curriculum Guide.
Beautifully designed and brimming with big ideas, the Nourish curriculum invites teachers and students to explore the thought-provoking question: “What’s the story of our food?”
A companion to the Nourish PBS special available on DVD, the curriculum contains a viewing guide, six learning activities, action projects, suggested resources, and a glossary. It is standards-aligned for use in social studies, science, health, and English classes.

Edible Education

How can schools help kids make healthy food choices? In this new video from the Nourish Video Encyclopedia, Edible Schoolyard founder Alice Waters talks about the value of garden and kitchen experiences in transforming students’ relationship to food.

Alice Waters is a chef, cookbook author, and founder of the Chez Panisse Foundation, which supports educational programs that use food to nurture, educate, and empower youth. She created the Edible Schoolyard at Berkeley’s Martin Luther King, Jr., Middle School, comprised of a one-acre garden, an adjacent kitchen-classroom, and an “eco-gastronomic” curriculum.
